Make room for the makers
A Taznakht visit is an opportunity to learn about weaving, not just browse a display. Ask about materials, technique and the origin of individual textiles. Different pieces can involve different work and finishes, so compare them carefully. Arrange a workshop or cooperative appointment before travel if conversation or a demonstration is important to you.
Choose an individual piece with clear information
Before buying a carpet or kilim, confirm its dimensions, fibre, condition, colours and the price for the exact piece. Photographs help, but a category image does not establish the stock that will be supplied. If buying at a distance, ask for current photographs and written product details before agreeing to a purchase.
Order through Ouarzazate City
Our regional shop accepts product requests that we coordinate with regional cooperatives. Submit what you are looking for, your quantity and collection or delivery needs. Availability, the supplier, price and fulfilment arrangements must be confirmed before purchase. Sending a request does not charge a card or reserve unconfirmed stock.
Keep regional products connected to their origin
The Rose Valley offers another cooperative and craft journey, with products associated with Kelaat M’Gouna. Treat origin, ingredients and labelling as questions to confirm with the producer. For textiles, begin with our Taznakht guide; for a wider journey, compare the regional destinations and keep enough time for the people behind the products.
