Leave Ouarzazate early for a full mountain day in the upper Tassaout Valley: earthen villages, cultivated terraces and High Atlas scenery around Amezri. Enjoy a locally guided village walk and time for lunch. Ichbaken is a conditional extension, not a promised extra stop: current access, weather and daylight decide what is sensible. For an unhurried visit to both villages, choose our three-day tour.

These photographs show Ichbaken village and its surrounding Tassaout Valley, supplied by Ouarzazate City. Explore the village, terraces and mountain scenery in the gallery below.

These visits shape the proposed itinerary. Tickets, local guides and activities are included only when listed in your accepted quotation.
A gentle, guided introduction to Amezri on agreed public paths; about 1–2 hours, adaptable to conditions.
Unhurried photography stops chosen by your driver without blocking roads or entering private land.
A pre-arranged lunch or picnic, priced in your quotation; dietary requests checked in advance.
Meet at the agreed Ouarzazate pickup point before sunrise. Travel toward the High Atlas via the Skoura–Toundoute approach, with the exact mountain route decided by the driver after a local road check. Allow much of the morning for winding roads and comfort stops. Around Amezri, meet your local guide for a gentle village-and-terrace walk, approximately 1–2 hours on suitable paths. Pause for lunch at a pre-arranged local table or take a picnic. If road access, weather and daylight permit, your guide may offer an Ichbaken viewpoint or short visit; otherwise remain around Amezri. There is no promised eight-kilometre village-to-village trek on this day trip. Begin the return well before dark on the mountain sections, arriving in Ouarzazate in the evening. Times below are planning windows, confirmed after the access check.
Meals: Lunch or picnic and drinks are quoted separately unless expressly included.
Overnight: No overnight stay. Evening return to Ouarzazate.

These are the proposed package elements. Only services itemised in your accepted written quotation are included; this page alone does not create a booking.
Remote High Atlas mountain roads and uneven village paths. Not a step-free programme. Vehicle type, current road access, walking difficulty and child-seat arrangements must be checked before booking. Tell us your walking experience and mobility needs. Snow, storms, heat or river levels may require rerouting or cancellation; no river crossing or exposed trail is guaranteed. Never book a tight flight connection after the return.
Send an enquiry first. We check a suitable local provider and send the proposed date, pickup point, final price, room or vehicle details, payment instructions and cancellation terms. Review and accept those terms before paying. Weather or access changes must be explained with any alternative programme. No departure, accommodation or ticket is reserved by sending this form.
Read the booking & cancellation policy →No. Expect a long day with substantial mountain driving. The provisional duration is 12–14 hours, not a guaranteed timetable. If current access makes a safe same-day return impractical, we will offer an alternative before you pay.
This programme concerns Amezri in the upper Tassaout (also written Tessaout) Valley, with Ichbaken (also written Ishbakn or Ichebaken). Confirm the mapped village names with us before booking; transliterations vary.
No. This is a proposed, private itinerary on request. We check the road, guide, vehicle, accommodation where applicable, and your group’s needs. You receive an itemised quotation and confirmation before payment.
This is not a canyoning, river-wading or M’goun summit programme. A local guide chooses suitable paths according to conditions. We do not promise riverbed passages, exposed traverses or access after storms.
Ask before photographing people or entering homes and fields, stay on agreed paths, dress considerately, take litter back and pay fairly for local services. A home visit or hosted meal needs prior agreement; it is never an automatic entitlement.
