Mansour Eddahbi Reservoir
A waterside landscape east of the city for a quieter viewpoint stop. Water levels and permitted shoreline access vary; arrange a locally confirmed route rather than following tracks towards the dam.

The place & its story
The reservoir adds a waterside perspective to the Ouarzazate basin. Its appearance changes with water levels, so treat photographs as a record of a moment, not a promise of the current view.
What to look for
Choose a permitted viewpoint with local advice and observe the relationship between water, bare ground and the surrounding hills. Keep away from dam infrastructure, restricted areas and unstable banks. This guide does not recommend swimming or boating.
What to discover
- Reservoir viewpoints
- Water and ochre landscapes
- Short nature stop near the city
Getting there
Arrange transport to a currently permitted viewpoint. The map marks the general area, not a visitor entrance or a safe shoreline path; confirm the exact stop locally.
Suggested visit
Allow approximately 60 minutes, plus travel and meals.
When to go
Early morning or late afternoon. Check current shoreline access; the photograph does not guarantee water levels.
Food break
Return to Ouarzazate for lunch or bring water and a snack; do not assume services at the viewpoint.
Before you visit
Confirm opening hours, admission, guide availability and access directly before departure. Respect residents and ask before photographing people.
